Back Office Manager – Electricity and Gas Retail Supply

Who are we?

We are an independent company specialized in the retail supply of electricity and gas, with extensive experience and a strong track record in the energy sector. We are looking for an analytical, critical-thinking professional with a continuous improvement mindset who is interested in taking responsibility for the company’s Back Office operations, managing a team of 6 to 8 people, and handling reporting and communication with other departments, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

What will you do?

• Lead the Retail Supply Back Office function (Contract Management, Switching, Billing, and Collections).
• Coordinate and monitor the team, ensuring objectives and service levels are achieved.
• Act as the key liaison between critical departments (Operations, Sales, Pricing, Legal, etc.).
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and communicate requirements to the IT team (enhancements and incident management).
• Manage relationships with external service providers.
• Prepare regulatory reports and collaborate with official regulatory bodies (CNMC).

What are we looking for?

• 2–3 years of experience in electricity and/or gas retail supply operations, particularly within Back Office functions.
• A broad understanding of processes and operations within the energy sector.
• Experience managing teams and strong communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in office productivity tools and industry-specific systems (SIGE, Nemon, etc.).

The following will be considered a plus:

• Interest and motivation to work in a stable department that interacts continuously with a wide range of stakeholders.
• A cross-functional mindset and the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
